It converts power to stable 12V DC, protects the battery, and fits 40HP–275HP outboards. Always disconnect the battery before installation. | 【Wiring Color Definitions and Connections】 Yellow wires (1 & 2): Connect to stator (AC output). Red wire (3): Connect to battery positive with a 15–20A inline fuse. Yellow/Red wire (4): Connect to ignition switch (ON position). Gray wire (5): Connect to tachometer (or leave unconnected if no tach). Black wire (6): Ground to engine block or battery negative.
